My latest announcement!
So here is my announcement!!! I AM 12 WEEKS PREGNANT TODAY!!!!
Eeeekkk!!!! I am so excited! I don’t know why 12 weeks is so exciting to me, but I find myself so unbelievably happy today for it!
To give you a little history about my family here we go! I started dating my now husband when I was just 18 years old! (He is 7 years older than I am) He already had a 2.5 year old little girl! We got engaged when I was 19 and married right when I turned 20! So I became a young mama/wife! We had both been going through college/tech school at the time and eventually moved out of state (but not far). I ended up staying home and raising her till she went to school because it was hard for us to trust others to watch her. I loved it! I love being a mama!
Fast forward a few years and when she turned 8 we told her we were expecting!!! We had a baby on the way! We had moved back home and I was working in a daycare center since she was going to school at this point. I took my pregnancy and RAN with it! “Ooo, I NEED those donuts, I AM eating for 2 you know.” “ Oh biscuits and gravy, made me sick before now it is to die for, 2nds yes please!” “No I’m not going to workout, this is my time to take it EASY”
Let me tell you this is not healthy thinking OR healthy habits to get into. I gained OVER 10lbs a month for quite a few months. All in all I gained around 60 lbs! This is NOT a healthy pregnancy weight. After I had her, I was shocked, embarrassed, mortified, etc of my body. I did not realize things just didn’t POOF back to the way they were! And they DEFINITELY don’t when you pack on that much weight in a short amount of time! Well, I can’t say all of those feelings motivated me because after a year I was still the biggest I had been (other than being pregnant) And this is EVEN MORE embarrassing but it took 7 Y.E.A.R.S. for me to say enough is enough and do something! I had lost weight in those 7 years and I was down to an “ok” weight. But I was far from healthy!
Finally I found the program that changed my life. P90X. That is it. This is what changed my thinking, changed my self esteem, my confidence, everything! Trust me, I started and stopped A LOT of programs, but this one was different. (I won’t go into all of that, I have a blog about me getting started) But this program in a nutshell changed me physically, mentally, and now financially thanks to me signing up as a Beachbody Coach and helping other people do what I have done. BTW, at 12 weeks pregnant I weigh less than I did when I graduated High School! (NO I am not concerned about my weight other than keeping it within a healthy weight gain) I JUST want to remain healthy…
I have a group of pregnant mamas who are determined to continue a healthy lifestyle during their pregnancy. We are going to eat clean as possible, workout and just overall maintain a healthy lifestyle for us and our babies! It is SO nice to be surrounded by these other women who have the same goals! So CHEERS to new friends and healthy pregnancies!
